I have a LARGE “about the size of a marble” Gem, Its DEEP blue but when wet brightens a bit.What type is this?

The stone is a deep blue, really beautiful, rounded by the river, its definitley a crystal form of a gem, I just dont know what type or types it could possibly be. Its a dark blue and crystaline. I found it In a Virginia river in the rapids panning for gold and other gem stones.

Blue sapphire, perhaps.
