How do I join the Royal Canadian Air Cadets?
Im thinking of becoming a pilot, and im looking forward to join the royal canadian cadets but not sure how.
Well first you find the website of your nearest squadron, and find out the recruitment date. You go on that date, and you must remember to bring a Birth Certificate (or some other piece of ID), as well as a fee (different squadrons have different amounts, but mine is $150). You do a lot of paperwork, but after that you’re offically a cadet!
If you wan’t to become a pilot, you are DEFINITELY going to have to join GROUND SCHOOL. It’s just a cadet group that meet up once every week with an instructor that teach you the basics about flying. If you pass the exam, you get considered as an applicant for a Summer Course, which is 6 weeks I think. If everything goes smoothly, and you pass, you’ll get your wings : )
