when am i most at risk of getting bittn by a snake or spider in the Australian outback?

I’m going to Australia in July and I’m going to Uluru for 2 days with a tour group. It mentions staying on a permanent campsite but I was wondering how safe it is to go patrticularly if there are poisonous snakes and spiders in the outback.

Don’t worry. Your not likely to see them . Snakes are as frightened of you as you are of them. They cannot hear but if they feel the vibration of people around they will usually slither away. They are only dangerous if you try and catch them or I wouldn’t walk in places they may hide ,like under rocks and long grass. Take some personal insect spray with you incase you encounter mozzies anywhere.

The Terrier of Australia is one of the smallest working terriers. It was bred to be a helper and companion in difficult times and the field but is adaptable to most climates. Interestingly, the Terrier of Australia has a special love for children, the elderly and the disabled.

The Australian Terrier is a close relative of former Scottish dog in Britain, however, the current Scottish Terrier. These dogs are believed to have crossed a number of other breeds British actions terrier to produce fast, robust, rough, weatherproof, fearless little dog that the settlers were established as necessary the borders of their country.

They helped to control rodents and snakes on the docks, farms, sheep and cattle stations in the interior. Sometimes taking care of sheep and sounded an alarm when the intruders appeared. Besides all these jobs, the Terrier of Australia also served as a partner.

All races were chosen for cross promote specific desired traits. There is a consensus of opinion that the breeds used included the precursors of the Dandie Dinmont, Skye, Yorkshire, and the old Black-and-Tan Terriers (now Manchester), probably with the Irish and Cairn Terriers. The offspring of the cross several created a very beautiful dog that the settlers were proud to display at home or in public.
